Aldi Australia to stop selling flushable wipes after ACCC, shopper concerns

ALDI Australia has pulled its plans to sell a flushable wipes product after the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) and shoppers raised concerns. The supermarket chain had listed Green Action flushable bathroom wipes as one of its Special Buys that was meant to go on sale in all ALDI stores today for $4.99. News Corp Australia first raised the concerns of loyal shoppers who took to ALDI’s Facebook page to criticise the product, and point out that flushable wipes are notorious for clogging pipes and local council waterways.
